SORRY WE MISSED A RECENT REPORT Marcia’s antibody count was down to a negative number indicating they are no longer fighting against her kidneys. The doctors were able to drop the Plasmapheresis treatment. Marcia still requires kidney dialysis three times a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday until her kidneys start to function. This is Dave Reporting: One lady (unnamed) said every time she uses the bathroom she prays for Marcia to do this! That is practical prayer. We are claiming the promises of Psalm 86. Read it from our perspective and see what promises you would claim. Our six weeks of home therapy and home nursing support stop at the end of this week. |

MARCIA’s PROGRESS HAS A SETBACK Marcia’s progress has had somewhat of a setback reminding us all how important continued prayer is. Marcia’s white blood cell (cells that fight infection) count fell below a critical level (meaning she is very susceptible to germs and illness). The doctors are taking her off a powerful medicine (actually a chemotherapy drug that is used to reduce her antibodies) to correct her low white blood cell count. Meanwhile we are taking extra steps to ensure she has a clean environment. At the same time, her antibody levels have risen again indicating they are still fighting against her kidneys. As a result, Marcia will have to start plasmapheresis (blood cleansing) treatments again. This means she will once again have both kidney dialysis and plasmapheresis on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Please continue to pray that:
Thank you for your continued prayers. |

Marcia has returned to a M-W-F schedule of plasmapheresis at 7:30, followed by lunch, then dialysis from noon to 3:30 or 4:00. Having blood out twice wipes her out, and she rests until supper. Dr. Gupta will not estimate how long plasmapheresis will continue. Normal antibody levels are 3; Marcia’s have peaked back to 41. Marcia now goes to Church and Sunday School on Sunday morning. Friday was the last day to have the hospital bed and wheel chair in the home. See if you can find our 17 anchors in Psalm 86. Another prayer area; the first of May we returned to Ohio from South Carolina seeking a ministry opportunity. It seems like 133 days in the wilderness. God has provided manna and living water with shelter at Aaron & Carol Sigritz in Vandalia, Ohio. God has opened a door of ministry with Campus Bible Fellowship (CBF) under Gary Holtz & Joe Hollaway. We will serve under Baptist Mid-Missions as Associate Missionaries. The Ministry will be at Wright State University and Sinclair Community College. Pray God will help us reach collegiates for Christ, and for how to follow him. This ministry will start September 9th. Pray for housing and support. Thanks for your companionship in Christ. |
